Each month, we spotlight three remarkable stories: individuals or groups in genuine need, or doing good in their community. One is chosen to receive a car, donated by easyauto123. The others receive a financial contribution toward their cause.
Conwaye – A True Community Champion
Conwaye spends his days lifting up the next generation — a rugby coach who is more than just a mentor. To his boys, he’s Matua: the one who finds them boots, puts food on the table, and makes sure no one is left behind. His aroha and dedication have already seen Tuakau College reach milestones never achieved before. But behind the scenes, Conwaye and his partner were stretching one car to do it all. That’s why he was handed the keys to a reliable new vehicle.
Taka – Feeding Hope in Northcote
Taka’s journey began in Northcote, serving hot meals out of the boot of his car. There was no funding, no organisation behind him — just kindness, care, and aroha for his community. At least three nights a week, he cooked and delivered food to anyone in need, making sure no one went without. Over time, his quiet generosity became a lifeline for many. When he was recognised through Cars for Good, Taka gained the support to keep feeding hope, and to continue nourishing his community.

Patrick
Patrick set out before dawn to walk over an hour to work, determined to build a future with his wife. With little money and no reliable transport, life was a test of resilience — but he never complained, even after being hit by a car. His grit left a deep impression on those around him. That’s why, one afternoon, he received a surprise he never expected. Caught on camera, it’s the moment that turned blisters into hope, and gave Patrick and his wife a fresh start.
CARAD - The Centre for Asylum Seekers, Refugees and Detainees
For 25 years, CARAD has been a quiet lifeline in Perth, supporting asylum seekers with food, housing, and dignity. Each week, their pantry helps more than 125 people, powered by over 200 volunteers. A $1,000 Cars for Good donation is helping keep shelves stocked and hope alive for families building safer futures.
The Moore Family
The Moore family are doing everything they can to support their son Brayden, who lives with cerebral palsy. As he grows, transport challenges increase — every trip means lifting Brayden and his wheelchair. Dad Russell, a tireless community volunteer, has even begun selling his gaming collection to fund a wheelchair-accessible vehicle. Through Cars for Good, we’ve donated $1,000 to help ease the load and show the Moores they’re not alone.
